Community Volunteer Day

A group of people stand on the banks of the Arboretum Waterway

Event Date

Location
Yolo Slope (near Shields Oak Grove)

Thank you for considering attending a Community Volunteer Day with the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden! Volunteer days are a great way to give back, meet other members of the community who enjoy volunteering and gardening, and experience the therapeutic effects of spending time in nature.  No prior gardening experience is needed to participate, and everyone over the age of 18 is welcome regardless of your affiliation with UC Davis.

Our volunteer day will take place on Saturday, October 25 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. We will be weeding on some of the newly created banks along the Arboretum Waterway toward the west end, meeting at the Yolo Slope (near the Oak Grove). Please note that this volunteer day may involve working in muddy conditions and on fairly steep banks.

Parking: Parking is free on campus on the weekends except where otherwise noted (e.g. signs indicating event parking rates). The closest lot to our meeting location is Visitor Parking Lot 55 and along Garrod Dr
